Athletic groups are a more traditional style of riding group, usually with cycling attire and road bikes. Rides may have minimum speeds or drop riders who fall behind.

Milwaukee Recreation Touring Rides

Learn the basics of bike touring (long distance) and bikepacking* (distance and weight) as you build your endurance with long distance rides and (optional) increasing weight on your bike. Participants should be comfortable in the saddle for at least 2 hours with the expectation of increasing ride time and (optional) weight as the season progresses.
